With the launch of the Business Development Improvement Grant and continued focus on the Facade Improvement Program, Downtown Lewistown, Inc. is catalyzing change in the community. Together with these re-granting programs, DLI has helped secure over $1.473 Million in state funds which directly support economic development projects in the Area. As evidence of this investment, DLI aided:

$623K for the Historic Courthouse Innovation Project to fund facility improvements for the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau and the Mifflin County Historical Society.
$500K for City Hook & Ladder for HVAC and Electrical Upgrades.
$250K for infrastructure and facility improvements for the Embassy Theatre.
$100K for the Business Development Improvement Program.

Additionally, $225K was secured the year prior to implement the Downtown Main Street Matters Program.

Once implemented, these funds will create construction jobs and investment opportunities intended to grow the region further.
